Baby Bushwalks is a weekly, Brisbane-based 'babes-in-arms' activity for parents and their young children to meet, share, get some fresh air and explore nature. It's about connection with a community and with nature, and aims to 'bring back the village'.
Meeting weekly at JC Slaughter Falls picnic area in Mt Coot-tha, Brisbane, the group will explore one of the bushwalks, going at the pace of the group. There are creeks and rocks to explore, and wide open grass spaces to run around.
The terrain is best suited as a 'babes-in-arms' activity, ie where children are carried in carriers and hiking backpacks or can walk on their own. Only 1km of the walking tracks are suitable for prams.
