Clean Up Australia Day: Family Canoe

Bring the family or a friend and help rescue the wetlands from rubbish! Explore the creeks of Boondall Wetlands on a guided canoe paddle and join in to help clean up and conserve the Boondall Wetlands Reserve. Have fun out on the water and learn about our waterways, wetlands and wildlife. All equipment supplied. The activity will go ahead in light rain. Some water confidence is required.

All children must be accompanied by an adult. Safety requirements apply and are a condition of entry. Children must be 8 years and over to participate and supervised by an adult. Wear a hat that can be secured in windy conditions, secure, fully enclosed shoes that will get wet and muddy, sun-smart clothing that can get wet (no denim or jeans), sunscreen, insect repellent. Bring 1 litre of drinking water, small energy snack, and light raincoat that can go under your life jacket. Pack a towel, change of dry warm clothes and footwear to leave in your vehicle. Safety consent forms will be emailed to participants, please return completed forms on the day.

Contact Description : Boondall Wetlands Environment Centre Online bookings required via Eventbrite. Bookings open on Monday 11 February and close Wednesday 6 March at 11.59pm. Maximum 12 participants per event. Maximum of four people per booking. Waitlist is available for up to 10 people. If you are on the waitlist, staff will contact you if a place becomes available.
