Kolora Park, on the outskirts of Palmwoods, is a lovely place to visit. It is known by the locals as the 'Palmwoods Duck Pond' due to the vast duck population. Kolora Park consists of a freshwater lake, a playground and a walking track that leads people all around the pond. BBQ spots and picnic tables are provided as well. It was named Kolora Park after the Aboriginal word which means 'fresh water lagoon' as it was previously called 'the lagoon' by locals. The lake here, used to provide the water requirements for the military camps in the area. Have a look at the drinking fountain and the plaque on it for more details.
