About the business

Nature Play QLD is a not-for-profit organisation and a dedicated voice for outdoor play for Queensland children aged 0-12. Our mission is to get more children playing outdoors more often, and intervene on the trend seeing childhood move indoors, becoming more sedentary and immersed in technology. Nature Play QLD is about bringing balance back into Queensland children's lives, to ensure they reap the physical, mental and emotional benefits derived from simply playing outdoors. Nature Play QLD is largely a social marketing campaign, and we are looking for a passionate, creative, hard working person to help get the Nature Play message out across Queensland and into the homes of Queensland families.

About the role

The successful candidate will coordinate all social media efforts, and work with the Marketing Coordinator, Program Manager and Nature Play QLD team to increase public awareness of Nature Play QLD's programs and resources.

Wages: $28.50 per hour, 7.6 hours per day, 3 days per week + superannuation + annual leave loading

Submission Deadline: COB 11 February 2019

Starting Date: Ideally 21 February 2019, otherwise 25 February 2019

Duties & Responsibilities

Develop content for all Nature play QLD social media channels including; facebook, Instagram, link-in, twitter, pintrest and others
Maintain and manage communications with social media networks
Ensure ongoing promotional efforts of social media support Nature Play QLD KPI achievement
Update website information
Analyse, research and report social media
Develop marketing materials to support additional outdoor play strategies
Co-develop and implement a marketing strategy supporting KPI targets
Support the Nature Play QLD team with marketing efforts

Skills and experience

Essential

Minimum of two years experience in marketing
Media and PR experience
Social media management experience
Proficient use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and other software programs (e.g. – CMS, Wufoo, Survey Monkey & MailChimp)
Solid time management and multi-tasking abilities
Able to work independently
Have a 'Blue Card' or able to obtain one

Desirable

Sponsorship development and management
Early childhood experience
Proficient computer skills with graphic design software
