Nature Play Events

Nature Play events are in very high demand.  Our ticketed events for children have a history of booking out within 24 hours!

Events are a great way to engage kids in outdoor play.  Nature Play QLD can support your events, whether it's from providing free Nature Play QLD materials at a small event, to co-producing a day of activities for hundreds of children at your location.

While we love to produce nature play events, Nature Play QLD is not an events organisation.  Instead, we rely on partnering with local governments, schools or organisations to initiate the delivery of events for children.

Fee and service

Ideally, we love to offer events for children that are free to attend.

Every event is different, however, and with financial backing Nature Play QLD can provide:

  • Nature play equipment and supplies
  • Event staff
  • Ticketing administration
  • Create branded collateral
  • Create specific nature play missions according to your event
  • Complete marketing and promotions

Please note when considering fee that we are a not-for-profit organisation.

Marketing Collateral

Nature Play QLD can supply free promotional material for your event as follows, so long as the purpose of the event matches our ethos:

Please order Passports and Licences directly from our website here.

Additional marketing collateral can be purchased for events, such as:

  • Nature Play t-shirts
  • Water bottles

For large events, Nature Play QLD offers the opportunity to source our much sought-after Nature Play QLD t-shirts and with your logo, or other branding for an additional fee.

For councils or very large events or organisations, it is possible to brand your own Passport to An Amazing Childhood.  (There are currently two councils and one large event presently developing a branded passport.)

Please contact us to find out more about partnering with us for your next event!

Examples of recent events we have partnered to deliver include:

Mud Lark in the Park, Ipswich

In partnership with Ipswich City Council, Nature Play QLD has delivered two Mud Lark events.  Both events catered to over 200 children.  Nature Play QLD built a giant mud pit, mud slide, mud-stacle course and mud pie bakery in Limestone Park.

There were lots of muddy smiles on the faces of kids of all ages. Not a single screen was seen the entire day! Even the Mayor of Ipswich got in on the fun, with Councillor Paul Pisasale unleashing his inner child and enjoying the muck and mayhem with the kids.

Ipswich City Council was so happy with the event and so impressed with the outcomes of the day for their local children and families that they plan to run it twice a year, every year.

Logan City Council also created a Logan Nature Play Passport, which is still in distribution, and a 'Things to do' Playlist for Logan.  Nature Play QLD built a mud mountain, tug-o-war, treasure hunting, mud sculptures, mud pies, target shooting, muddy soccer, and much more...!

Feedback from Logan City Council

"On behalf of the Logan City Council team I would like to thank the Nature Play Qld team for working with Council to deliver the City of Logan’s inaugural nature play event. The day was MUDtastic and we have received very positive feedback, thus far. It was also great to get coverage on Channel 9, 7 and ABC.

Personally, I enjoyed watching the children interact with the mud and found it interesting observing how each child’s interact with the mud was different and how it changed over the course of the session. I was also very pleased to hear to that some Logan parents have held their own mud event in their backyard. One resident from Greenbank informed me that she created a mud pit in her back yard at the beginning of the year for her children and their friends to enjoy."

Nature Play QLD Celebrating Gold Coast Festival

In partnership with Gold Coast City Council, the Nature Play QLD’s participation in the Celebrating Gold Coast Festival event consisted of delivering pre-booked Nature Play QLD Passport Mission Activities to 200 children.  Activities included a Mud Pie Bakery, 'Kids Obstacles Gone Mad', Kite Making, Ochre Face Painting, Eye Spy Animal Antics, Cubby Building, Intro to Circus & heaps more fun activities. We also had a Nature Play QLD exhibit stall on the day.

Nature Play QLD delivered the activities with all resources, undertook marketing and ticketing administration of the nature play activities, created branded marketing collateral, created specific missions, presented branded t-shirts and general Nature Play QLD resources.
