What is MUD WORLD?

Mountains of dirt, heaps of fun! The two day event dedicated to getting your kids grubby and grimy!

Mud squelching through the toes, splattering the clothes and no one objects. Could there be a better feeling? Children making mud pies, jumping in mud, swimming in mud, getting mudded all over. The more the better. Even those who like to be squeaky clean will give into mud’s temptation. Because that’s the fun of it – mud can be washed off, but the memories will stay forever.

This great Mud World experience will land in September at Underwood Park, Priestdale – a two-day festival for kids with a choice of free-range MUD play activities. There are 5 Realms within MUD WORLD for kids to explore: Muddy Monsterland, Village of Mud, Mud Mania, Mud Slide and The Great Muddy Mountain Range. And even more fun on the Saturday evening session with DJ Steve at The Muddy Wonderland Dance Party.

Become a MUDDLING (also know as a citizen of MUD WORLD) and get grubby with us in the Mountains of Mud. It will be HEAPS of FUN.

MUD WORLD is a Nature Play QLD's fundraising event run in partnership with the Logan City Council.

What is the Muddy Wonderland Dance Party?

Mucky and grimy dance, anyone? Mud, music and lights are all mixed together in the Muddy Wonderland Dance Party where kids can dance their hearts out and soil their pants (or skirts for that matter). The Muddy Wonderland Dance Party will be on Saturday evening with the amazing DJ Steve, complete with lights to simulate a dance party and with the mud activities to enhance the atmosphere.

Prepare to get mucky in the glimmer and shine of Muddy Wonderland.

We also want you and your family to come dressed for the occasion – we will be having a fancy dressed competition…try adding some lights and glitter to stand out in the crowd!

Why Mud?

Mud has been a source of joy, intrigue and fun for children for centuries. This event is seeking to inspire future generations to get back into the grime, grit and good fun of mud play. Mud play engages all the senses, and has many physical, psychological, and emotional benefits for children. It helps them build a connection with nature, regulate their moods, aids in reducing stress and anxiety, and provides exposure to friendly soil bacteria helping to build a stronger more robust immunity to sickness.

Dirt and Mud disclaimer

By purchasing a ticket, you understand that this is a ‘dirty play’ activities festival for children. Our aim is to give you the best experience possible by free play with minimal structure and maximum fun as a family. This is a fun family event catered to children aged 0 – 14yrs, with the focus on the benefits of unstructured play activities. Nature Play QLD has a philosophy that mud activities help a child to explore and grow through the freedom of play with the help of their peers.
