Mud World

Due to the severity of the drought conditions in QLD we have decided, with heavy hearts, to cancel this year’s Mud World event which was going to take place on October 5 and 6 at Samford, Brisbane.

The Nature Play QLD team feel that we cannot morally go ahead with an event that uses so much water while some regional Queensland towns are facing the very real prospect of running out of this precious resource.

This was not a decision we have taken lightly as Mud World is an event much loved by local children, but we are a state-wide organisation focussed on helping ALL Queensland children find ways to participate in healthy outdoor play.

We know this will be disappointing for ticket holders, but we know everyone feels so much compassion towards those families in drought affected areas and we thank you for your understanding.

Nature Play QLD will be donating the Mud World venue fee to Rural Aid who are helping provide water to communities in need.

All paid tickets and payment fees will be refunded in full. We expect the funds will be visible on your statements within 5 – 10 days.

Due to the number of refunds that need to be processed, and that we are a small team, please be patient and know that we are working as quickly as we can.

If you have not received your refund by Friday October 4 2019, please contact [email protected]

We thank each and every one of you for supporting Mud World and would like to apologise wholeheartedly to all the families who would have joined us.

The current drought conditions were unprecedented when the Nature Play QLD team were planning Mud World.

If you would like to donate your ticket refund amount to Rural Aid and help get water out to those in need, head to their website

We’d also like to thank our Mud World partners for their ongoing support and look forward to the drought breaking so that we can bring back this event that provides epic childhood play experience to the kids of Queensland.
