Nature Play QLD is a non-for-profit organisation and is holding a fundraising event in partnership with the city of Logan. Mud World is a two-day children’s festival with a range of unstructured MUD play activities for children with the supervision of a parent or guardian, with a ratio of 1 adult to every 2 children. This will be a ticketed event per child, with supervising adults entering for free. The tickets will be sold in sets of 3-hour day sessions, and one 2-hour evening session throughout the duration of the 2-day event. Our aim is to give you the best experience possible by utilising play with minimal structure and maximum fun as a family.
Registration for Mud World is free for adults, however we are asking for a voluntary gold coin donation upon entry. Please remember every dollar collected supports outdoor free play for Queensland children, with Mud World being Nature Play QLD’s major FUN-draising event! We thank you for your support.
Nature play is unstructured play. It happens outside, in nature, where the play is child-directed rather than adult-directed. Adults have a crucial role in providing suitable environments and in facilitating children’s experiences. There are many research papers on the Nature Play QLD website to support this.
This event is not an obstacle course. Between the hours of your designated session, your child/children will be given the freedom to roam the five realms at their own pace. Our aim is to give you the best experience possible by utilising PLAY with minimal structure and maximum fun as a family.
Yes, of course. Nature Play QLD has a philosophy that mud activities help a child to explore and grow in the freedom of play with the help of their peers. The mud that will be made will be with the finest of ingredients – highest quality organic top soil (fertiliser free) and clean drinking water.
DAY Sessions - $25.00 (+BF) per child per session (Adults = Free Registration / Gold Coin Donation onsite)
Muddy Wonderland Dance Party Session - $30.00 (+BF) per child (Adults = Free Registration / Gold Coin Donation onsite)
Registration will open at the start time of your designation session. Please do not turn up prior to your session time as we will only start processing people into Mud World when the session starts. Please print out your ticket for entry. We will be checking off children’s names via the ticket you bring on the day. We also need to check that every child has appropriate supervision so please come as a complete group to ensure you have the correct numbers for us to admit your entry.
This is a fun family event catered to children aged 0 – 14yrs, with the focus on the benefits of unstructured play activities. Please note we will have a specific area for 0 - 2 year olds (Muddy Monsterland), hence to be fair muddy bubbies pay, clean bubbies don't.
This is going to be a messy event, so no need to dress to impress – both parents and children. Checklist would include – hat, sunscreen, play clothes and shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty! A clean change of clothes and a towel for the ride home would come in handy. We ask that children wear clothes and shoes at all times. Dirt and mud disclaimer - both parents and children will get dirty! By purchasing a ticket, you understand that this is a ‘dirty play’ activities festival for children. Your child will also receive a FREE pair of awesome goggles to protect their eyes from the mud.
We will always try and help with all ticketing issues, but it will also come down to ticket availability. Please contact point of purchase - localticketing.com or email us at [email protected]
You are not obligated to stay for the entire time selected, you are most welcome to enter and exit as you please.
